Extra information about finishes
Some traditional finishes are intentionally unvarnished and are classified as "finishes that change and develop patina over time". These finishes evolve naturally and may darken, become more matt, or develop spotting and patina in areas of frequent contact. This ageing is normal and contributes to a unique appearance.

The following finishes are subject to this phenomenon:

• Polished Nickel (NL): may become more matt and develop dark spots.
• Raw Brass (OG): will darken and frequently touched areas develop a patina; water residues can cause oxidation spots—dry after use.
• Polished Brass (OL): will darken and frequently touched areas develop a patina; dry after use to limit oxidation spots.
• Brushed Brass (OS): will darken and develop patina on touched areas; dry after use.
• Brushed Nickel (NS): may become more matt and develop dark spots.
• Tuscan Brass (TB): frequently touched parts may fade, revealing the brass and developing patina.
• Brushed Black Nickel (NKN): may become more matt and develop dark spots.
• Polished Black Nickel (BN): may become more matt and show staining.

Care recommendation
As these finishes are not protected by a varnish layer, acidic cleaners and commercial descalers can damage the surface. Do not use aggressive chemical cleaners. For longevity and to control natural ageing, wipe dry after use.
