The Decorative Stool Hamakua is made from a petrified wood log. Handcrafted polished on all surfaces to achieve this smooth and shiny texture. Spectacular decorative stool made of petrified wood in one piece. Successive volcanic eruptions buried vegetation under blankets of burning ash and layers of different sediments. The wood of these forests underwent a unique metamorphosis. This process lasted about 200 or 300 million years, until it gave rise to this precious material. Its diversity of colors is due to the amount of manganese, iron and copper present in the water and mud during the petrification process. That is why we photograph each of our pieces, because no two are alike. Whims of nature transformed into art for your home.
