In 1952, designer Pierre Paulin became acquainted with the technique of bending plywood. This technique was the basis of the F437. Soon the armchair got the nickname Orange Slice, because of the resemblance to orange slices. The Orange Slice armchair is an acclaimed Artifort classic that has been released since 1960, and continues to be popular.

The base is finished in a standard Artifort powdercoat colour. Chrome as an option.
Orange Slice footstool and coffee table
The Orange Slice can be combined with a matching footstool (P437). The footstool is upholstered in textile or leather. The four legs are finished in a standard Artifort powder coat colour or chrome.
The tabletop of the Orange Slice coffee table has a diametre of 70 or 100 cm. The tabletop is finished in white or black lacquer, or in oak veneer that is finished in an Artifort oil colour. The steel legs of the coffee table are finished in a standard Artifort powder coat colour or in chrome.
