Description

Simply slim, clean lines, an elegant base and the single row of buttons as a finishing touch. There is such a thing as timeless design. With its pleasant, slightly raised and no too deep seat, the 070 provides a graceful contrast to all the excessive, soft and low lounge sofas of today. Recently Artifort added new options to the iconic 070 series by Kho Liang Ie, tailored for the business and residential markets. In addition to the straight sofa with a padded backrest original compositions dating back to 1962 have returned to the collection, including a straight sofa with tabletop, a daybed with optional tabletop and the option of combining these into various configurations. This gives architects the freedom they need to create inspirational waiting, meeting and lounging areas. The sofa’s active seating comfort means that it is even suitable for concentrated work. All you need do is move a worktable up to the sofa in offices, public spaces and at home. Artifort heritage The 070 was designed in 1962 by Kho Liang Ie, who was Artifort’s aesthetic director at the time. His eye for detail and functional approach yielded an elegantly simple and functional system used to create compositions that can be combined to form arrangements for the project and residential markets. The possibilities inherent in the 070 arrangements inspired the famous Schiphol Airport furnishings in the 1960s. The 070 was re-released in 2008, and we can confidently say that the modernist design has lost none of its power.
