A lighting solution for bookcase systems Book is a lighting solution by ateljé Lyktan, comprising discreet luminaires that are easily mounted and integrated in both new and older bookcase systems. Different console solutions enable mounting above the shelves, in the upper shelf – surface mounted shelf by milling in the shelf or alternatively on the wall. Material & design Book creates an even and well diffused light over book spines, and meets the lighting requirements of Swedish lighting guide Ljus & Rum for bookshelves in libraries. The luminaire, with a body in extruded aluminium, was designed in 2001 by Ahrbom & Partner and is the top choice in the library world thanks to its flexibility, easy mounting and good lighting qualities. Mounting type A The standard bracket for mounting above the shelves. Expansion dimensions 100 mm. Mounting type B You are able to mount the Book directly to the book case. This requires a threaded insert to be directly inserted into the book case to enable the Book to then be attached.
