Stool made from local ash and oak wood
On old Chinese woodcuts you can sometimes discover a three-legged stool, which served as our inspiration for this stool because it embodies all AUERBERG principles: durability, longevity and minimal use of resources with maximum functionality. We make our stool from local ash and oak wood and use the light-dark contrast of the two woods to bring out the distinctive wood connections to their full effect. All connections are invisibly mortised with wooden dowels. The lower wooden connection resembles the letter Y and that is also the name of the stool: Y-stool seat height 35 cm
