Modular all-in-one photovoltaic system EXCEL SOLAR

Overview
IKO EXCEL SOLAR is a complete photovoltaic waterproofing system for flat roofs using flexible self-adhesive modules. It can be installed on all types of supporting substrates for new build and refurbishment projects and supports multiple installation methods: self-adhesion, torch welding or mechanical fastenings. The low weight of the modules is indicated in the technical documentation (see specifications).

Applications and installation

• Application by self-adhesion onto the waterproofing support
• Module layout is independent of the waterproofing jointing; installation possible above overlaps
• ALPA membranes (e.g. ALPAL 4000 SOLAR or ALPAL 25 SOLAR) forming the waterproofing complex provide a non-slate finish and UV resistance without primer or flake embedding
• Waterproofing: first layer mechanically fixed according to the fixation density study, second layer fully welded on the first
• EXCEL SOLAR modules: prepare the support membrane by torching off the surface film; remove the peel-off protective film on the adhesive strips on the back of the modules; apply modules and roll over at the adhesive strips; modules must be installed promptly after waterproofing application
