Philippe Starck’s Midnight chandelier reinterprets Baccarat’s classic Zénith model by enshrouding the luminosity of the original in seductive, thrilling darkness. The midnight color has a strong visual impact: the iridescent-tinged opacity glimmers with shadowy mystery. Though the initial Zenith design dates from the 19th century, the midnight color imbues this chandelier with a modern feel that highlights Baccarat’s craftsmanship in a new, exciting way. The components of the chandelier include: 12 incandescent bulbs, 12 midnight-crystal lampshades (which add a classic touch and enhance the magic of the filtered light), and 12 borosilicate glass sleeves, on which the lampshades rest.
