Barrisol proposes microperforated stretch ceiling to absorb the sounds and to reduce noise pollution in public or private spaces. These ceilings limit the effect of reverberation for a better intelligibility and sound comfort. Absorption principle Barrisol Acoustics® ceilings can be fixed with Barrisol Tradition or Barrisol Star system. For a better result, Barrisol Acoustic stretch ceiling can be used in association with an acoustic absorbent. Acoustic absorption reduces the intensity of the sound waves as they reflect within a room. The wave that emanates from a sound source is partially absorbed by the BARRISOL sheet thereby reducing reverberation. Please note that this is quite different from acoustic isolation that relates to the transmission of noise from one space to another. The BARRISOL suspended ceiling also lets a portion of the sound energy pass through it. As the sound waves continue to reverberate around the room, energy loss continues and the sound in the space is reduced.
