22 System utilizes standard junction boxes and may be mudded directly into drywall or set flush into millwork, marble, glass or any other surface. 22 Drywall allows our operative components to snap into a receiving cover plate that is mudded directly into the drywall. The cylindrical-shaped system allows a variety of components to be interchangeable in our plate system including plugs, switches, data and communication ports, USB, HDMI and keypad controls. 22 Alternative allows the same suite of components to snap into a receiving plate/junction box assembly that is set behind a variety of finish materials including marble, millwork, tile, glass and others. The complete assembly results in operative components that sit flush with the surrounding wall surface without visible fasteners or cover plates and without a proprietary junction box or house wiring system. To remove or replace the cylindrically shaped components, a special tool is required. The 22 System is rated to UL standards 498 and 514D. US Utility Patents 7,956,295 and 8,232,482. Single kits come with a mounting plate and one operative component. An installation tool is required for each 22 System installation (sold separately).
