The Torii table designed by Marconato & Zappa clearly demonstrates its exotic inspiration: the slightly inclined metal elements that make up the base recall the entrances to Japanese Shinto shrines from which this round wooden table takes its name. The Torii ST (Swivel Top) version with rotating top catches the eye thanks to the large circular top surface which features an interesting interplay between materials and which combines the outermost wooden frame with a rotating central ceramic section. The result is a contrast of materials and finishes for a table with a significant theatrical presence.
