The collection Rose is a homage by the designer Cristina Celestino to the town of Nove and to the hands of the women in the district who have been modelling the small flowers decorating the artistic pottery of the place for years. We apply roses in different dimensions to the traditional mosaic square tesserae. The flowers are modelled raw clay and then immersed in colour: small seductive and evocative wonders in ceramic. The selected colours range from smooth pastel to velvety hues. The application of the roses as three-dimensional objects highlights the solid vibration game created by the slight shades on the regular surface of the mosaic. The complete freedom in the arrangement of the flowers makes the tiling extremely apt to meet the customer’s needs.
