Worldwide, bamboo covers an area of approximately 37 million hectares, six million of which are in China and nine million in India. The raw material for our bamboo boards comes from sustainably managed farms in central China. Bamboo is harvested after 5-6 years. Immediately after the harvest new "branches" appear from the so-called rhizomes, which cover the whole floor of the bamboo forest.
