Description

Our Oak Plank Doors are handbuilt in our workshops here in Wales to the highest standards and are available in a choice of beautiful Cottage or Elegance Oak. Cottage Oak is more rustic in style with large and small knots and richer colour variation, creating a typical traditional looking oak plank door; Elegance Oak is cleaner in look and feel, with only smaller knots, ideal for a more contemporary country feel. All of our Oak Plank Doors are made to measure as standard, typically from 4-6 planks although this will vary depending on the size of the door and the planks selected. They have 3 horizontal ledges on the rear and are normally finished with decorative rosehead nails although these can be omitted for a simpler, more contemporary look if preferred. If you have a slanted opening, your door can be cut to template in our workshops or supplied ready to cut to fit in situ. Our Oak Plank Doors do not have diagonal braces as standard as they are not required for stability, but these can be supplied if required. Unlike many Oak Plank Doors, ours are supplied filled and sanded ready to be sealed, saving significant time, effort and disruption at installation stage. Alternatively they can be ordered to be finished in our workshops in one of our beautiful signature shades of Hardwax Oil. To hang our Oak Plank Doors we would recommend our range of traditional handforged ironmongery. Prices below are for Oak plank doors in any size to 915mm x 2050mm. Larger sizes can normally be accommodated subject to a supplement.
