armand is extraordinary. The distinctive form of the upholstered chair is reminiscent of both Art Nouveau and the Empire style but puts these elements in a new, innovative context. The semi-circular shell, which forms the back and foot of the chair, also holds the circular seat base and provides it with the necessary structural support. Thus, the design appears multi-layered as well as transparent. Placed at a dining table, armand functions as a chair; next to a sofa it takes on the character of an armchair thanks to its all-round textile surfaces. Handy in size and easy to move, armand can be used and combined in many ways. Optionally to be fitted with castors instead of gliders and to be complemented with a matching stool.
