BKF CHAIR IN BLACK CANVAS AND LEATHER
The Butterfly chair in an original combination of canvas and leather. Made with bovine leathers from Brittany, France, tanned with vegetable extracts of mimosa and quebracho, they play in perfect harmony with our 100% cotton canvas, which is flexible, soft and durable.
In our Barcelona workshop, the cover of our BKF chair is hand-stitched with German Gütermann threads. The master craftsman combines the use of triple feed head machines and hand stitching to achieve the highest level of detail. This cover rests on a 12mm diameter solid steel frame, hand polished and painted in black epoxy.
bO “AA”
In 1944, the MoMA granted the Acquisition Award to the BKF chair, and in 1945, its makers presented the armchair in the "Jeu de Pomme" Pavilion in Paris. At that moment, the director of the Architecture d'Aujourd'hui magazine fell in love with this unique piece and started to manufacture it for his readers, naming it AA.
