Product details
CUBY #1 combines functional organisation and minimalist aesthetic language. Manufactured in Denmark at byJEMA’s own factory from corten steel, galvanized steel, or black wet-lacquered steel. Folded profiles, precise joints and a black steel top plate create a coherent design across the CUBY series, positioning the enclosure as an outdoor furniture element where Danish design and craftsmanship meet everyday utility.

Dimensions & sizing
Available with multiple internal width options to accommodate different bin configurations. Delivered as a self-assembly kit including bolts, nuts and instructions.

Assembly & installation
Supplied as a self-assembly kit with bolts, nuts and instructions. Assembly time ≈ 2 hours. Can be freestanding or anchored to the ground. Optional concrete screws available for fixed installation.

Mailbox option (summary)
Optional integrated mailbox (mailbox purchased separately). Compatible models: MEFA Hazel 477 or ALLUX 800. Mailbox can be placed on Side A or B. House number is optional and is attached by the customer during assembly using strong magnets.

Maintenance summary

• Corten steel: wash with lukewarm soapy water after installation to remove oils; natural rust patina develops over 3–6 weeks and can be accelerated with light saltwater spray; rinse occasionally to remove dust and algae.
• Galvanized steel: clean 1–2 times per year with a mild soap solution; avoid acid-based cleaners.
• Black wet-lacquered steel: wipe with mild soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive sponges and solvents; minor scratches can be repaired with touch-up paint in the same color.
