Bolet is both an exercise in functionalism and an ode to craftsmanship. The geometry of Bolet is achieved through a simple modification of the clay extrusion process, allowing the piece to serve as a stool and as an occasional side table. Fired at high temperature, the ceramic resists extreme temperature variations and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The dip-glaze in traditional La Bisbal colours contrasts with a natural cork base; three holes on the top enable easy handling. Bolet represents a contemporary approach to a traditional process.
