Contemporary chest of drawers Concetto

The “Concetto” chest of drawers, part of the Borgonovo+Valsecchi, night system, embodies a striking dialogue between art and design. Crafted in wood with drawers covered in metal, it stands out for its unique cuts across the drawer fronts, inspired by Fontana’s iconic incisions. These are not merely decorative details, but integrated handles with a strong expressive character. This sophisticated play of voids and solids opens up a new dimension where functionality becomes an artistic gesture. The cuts, evocative of Fontana’s poetics, rhythmically mark the surface, inviting both touch and gaze, offering a dynamic reading of space and material. Metal, chosen as the core material, enhances the modern appeal of the piece, while forming a stimulating contrast with the tradition of abstract art – a harmonious and intelligent interplay. Borgonovo+Valsecchi design approach is revealed here through a philosophy rooted in experimentation and innovation. The transformation of cuts into handles emphasises the idea that every opening and closing becomes a sensory experience, where the boundary between form and function gradually dissolves. 3 drawers chest of drawers - cm 136x51x80 h
