The Carrier 40VMA Outside Air Duct is a VRF indoor unit designed to introduce fresh ventilation air into commercial spaces while integrating seamlessly with Carrier® VRF heat pump or heat recovery systems. Installed within a plenum, the 40VMA supports balanced indoor air quality by delivering outside air alongside other VRF indoor unit types, helping meet ventilation requirements without sacrificing system efficiency or design flexibility. Features Performance & Operational Efficiency Elite Heat Models (6–30 tons) deliver expanded operating ranges, with heating down to ‑22°F (‑30°F on select models) and cooling from ‑10°F to 125°F. High‑performance outdoor units feature inverter‑driven twin and tri‑rotary compressors, DC inverter fan motors, and a newly designed heat exchanger with increased surface area for enhanced efficiency.
