Similar to the Skipper, the idea flowed from observation of the nautilus shell: each single segment in itself a simple shape, combined with the next in a curvilinear progression to create an extremely robust structure. This is true not only in nature: the Sanremo has a curved plywood structure, made of very simple components whose union transform everything into an exceptionally light and resistant volume. The particular angles of these aggregated segments’ profile allow for an anatomically ideal conformation, almost like a sling supporting the body in the optimal position to work at a desk, almost as if it were a pilot’s seat.
