A masterful modern armchair. An expert re-edition by Cassina starting with the model the Scottish architect donated in 1904 to the “Willow Tea Room” in his native city, Glasgow. In its original configuration, the high, semicircular backrest of this solid wood throne served as a divider between the entrance and the tea room behind it, framing the seat in a complex series of lines and shapes that wholly reflect the geometric and floral style of Mackintosh. A work of superior Cassina craftsmanship, made possible by the fusion of fine furniture-making and cutting-edge technology.
