Description

ARCHETYPE OF MODERNITY, IN AN EXCLUSIVE TIME LIMITED EDITION A seat that has written its own chapter in design history, becoming an icon of global fame. To celebrate 60 years of production of the Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® Collection, the armchair is presented in a limited time edition, crafted with circular materials and upholstered in soft mohair velvet, paired tone-on-tone with the metal structure. Designed for conversation and exhibited at the Salon d’Automne in Paris in 1929 as the archetype of the modern concept of furnishings, interpreted by its authors as “household equipment”, the armchair is honoured in its 60th anniversary of production with a special edition. The separation between the metal structure and the cushions is consistent with the principles of Rationalism, just as the separation between the parts is based on an industrial approach to production, reminiscent of the architectural relationship between the loadbearing structure and the in-fill elements. Preserving the aesthetics, features, and dimensions of the iconic model that has written its own chapter in design history, becoming an icon of global fame, 3 Fauteuil Grand Confort, grand modèle, durable, 60 is proposed in a version made with circular materials – with the tubular metal structure in three new polished finishes in red, blue or green colour with tone-on-tone coordinated upholstery in soft mohair fabric. - Designers: Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand (1965) - Limited Edition Characteristics / Technical Specifications: - Structure: Frame in tubular steel with polished red, blue or green colour finish. - Cushions: In variable density polyurethane foam with a percentage of polyols derived from biological sources, recycled polyester fibre wadding, upholstered in Lirico fabric in red, blue or green colour. - Upholstery: Soft mohair velvet, tone-on-tone with the metal structure. - Production Year: 1965 - Collection: Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® Collection - Edition: Limited time edition for the 60th anniversary - Available Colours: Blue, Red, Green
