Fade noise to black with AcoustaBoard™ Black. Designed to provide sound control in theaters, studios, and entertainment facilities when an interior needs to be dark, AcoustaBoard™ Black is a rigid board with a Class A surface that can be used in exposed applications. Composed of glass fibers bonded together with a thermoset resin, it provides excellent sound absorption, controlling reverberations and echoes while also reducing noise levels. AcoustaBoard Black is intended for architectural treatment and has black mat suitable for acoustic applications (refer to product data sheet 30-34-010 for suitability in HVAC applications). AcoustaBoard Black can be installed rapidly and is easily cut to fit around obstructions and structural members. General installation recommendations are to apply to spandrels, pre-cast concrete panels and gypsum board surfaces with adhesives or mechanical fasteners. Other acceptable installation methods include using hat channels or Z studs – refer to CertainTeed’s Limited Warranty (30-32-113) for product limitations.
