The ST50 EM automation system enables the motorization of existing shutters that would otherwise be impossible to automate. It’s ideal in cases where insect screens or security bars are already installed, or when the wall return is too narrow — essentially, in any situation where there isn’t at least 6 cm of space available for installing the ST40 automation or 8 cm for the standard ST50. The only additional requirement is to bring power to the automation, as the electronic board is integrated into the main body. The ST50 EM retains all the benefits of the ST50 family: high power of 50 Nm (or 80 Nm with the ST100 MA model), modular construction, and 100% Italian-made production, crafted in-house by our CS Meccanica division, which manufactures the mechanical components. Aesthetically, the result is excellent due to the compact design of the automation. Additionally, the casing can be painted directly on-site during facade finishing work, and the top surface is angled to facilitate rainwater drainage. Chiaroscuro guarantees spare parts availability for at least 10 years, as well as full compatibility with home automation and smart home systems of any brand, simply by connecting the automation to their roller shutter module.
