The hand-tufted carpet ROYA is inspired by the uniquely colourful landscape of the Iranian Aladag Mountains. The carpet’s impressive contrasts in colour are reminiscent of dream sequences and provide the name ROYA, Persian for "beautiful dream". The soft and very dense pile is made of the finest merino wool, sparingly interspersed with silky bamboo fibres that appear like light reflections and contrast pleasantly with the wool. The fine colour gradients bear witness to the extremely high craftsmanship that went into the production of the carpet.
