Iron kettle/Maru arare/with copper lid
These iron kettles are made with techniques of thin beauty which is a feature of Yamagata casting. It is an iron kettle with a thin thickness and beautiful casting surface and fits the modern lifestyle. The three shapes that changed the roundness of the kettle are simple and beautiful. The lid and the knob are made from an old-fashioned combination of copper materials, which makes the design feel new in a traditional combination.
The finish is uncalcined at 800 degrees, an oxide film is applied then hand-painted with a baked finish of urushi lacquer which is done by using a traditional technique from long, long ago.
