After boiling the kettle and pouring the water please leave the remaining boiled water in the kettle. After emptying the remaining unwanted hot water, to clean the inside simply take the lid off and let the residual heat dry the pot. Never use a sponge to clean the inside, simply leave the inside alone. For the outside you can just wipe it gently with a dry cloth.
