Description

The Woolworth Building soars above City Hall Park at the gateway to Tribeca. Unprecedented in size and sophistication when it was first completed in 1913, this graceful tower remains an elegant jewel in the skyline of downtown Manhattan. The Woolworth Building soars above City Hall Park at the gateway to Tribeca. Today, the top thirty floors are being masterfully transformed into The Woolworth Tower Residences: a limited collection of thirty-three luxury condominiums atop a celebrated New York landmark. We were honoured to be the representative cabinetry provider for the high-end upgrade of the dressing room and cocktail bar in the penthouse of this impressive building. We took inspiration from the stunning architectural details such as the terracotta window reveals recreated in contemporary marquetry furniture panels and the famous Woolworth ‘W’ insignia skilfully set within the cabinetry doors. The cabinet itself was crafted in cool walnut Metro Deco with steel pinstripe inlay and oak scheme insignia.
