SOLEA© is a new approach to plant protection halfway between a tree well and a tree guard. SOLEA© offers several advantages over traditional tree wells: it protects the roots from soil and water resulting from road cleaning, it defends the plants against all kinds of attacks: cars, pedestrians, animals etc. In the event of repair work on the pavement it can even constitute a new substrate supply. SOLEA© can be made in two parts (B) or one (A) depending on implementation constraints. SOLEA© has a classic design and is available in two models: inverted cylindrical-cone (II) or conical-pyramid (I). SOLEA© is made from 3 mm thick corten steel plate which is folded and welded with a 100 mm aesthetic lip at the top. All corners are softened, all welds carefully cleaned and sanded to remove all sharp edges. Reinforced welds at the bottom of the container to prevent piercing or collapse caused by the load (substrate, plants, water etc.). Container either waterproof or with drain holes.
