In conceiving PAPYON, Swiss designer and architect Arnd Küchel searched for examples of nature's pattern making and elegant practicality. The lightweight, flexible and aesthetic wing of a butterfly inspired the first sketches of PAPYON, and Küchel was quick to note the similarities between these organic formations and DEDON Fiber. Collection: The uniquely designed collection PAPYON is created using two distinct weaving textures, combined with an innovative technique. This collection unveils the next metamorphosis of DEDON Fiber and artisanship. Characteristics: Natural, comfortable, protecting. Footstool: The PAPYON foostool complements the Wing Chair in the collection with its comfortable shape. Material: Made of DEDON Fiber woven over an aluminum frame. Frame Maintenance: Clean with a soft cloth or brush, warm water and a gentle cleanser, if needed. Cushion maintenance: While the covers cannot be removed, the complete cushions may be washed by hand at 30 °C / 86 °F.
