Description

Built in the end of the 15th century Gainsborough Old Hall in Lincolnshire is one of the best preserved medieval manor homes in England today. It is celebrated for visits from King Richard III and King Henry VIII. Framed out of wood it is remarkable that major sections have survived to the 21st century. Just as the Gainsborough Old Hall was built to survive centuries, so is the Gainsborough office chair built for longevity. It is hand constructed on a beech wood frame and covered with hand tied springs and more than sufficient padding. As photographed here, the chair is covered in antiqued gold leather. The upholstery is available in any of our signature antiqued, premium or deluxe leathers and the chair is also available in a four legged non-swivel dining chair variety. Superior details of a hand covered button tufted back, hand hammered brass studs and French polished carved mahogany arms and 5 point legs, this chair could have been made for the original Hall. Updated with a gas tilt height adjustment swivel and casters for ease of movement, this is a luxurious chair. The Gainsborough office chair is as majestic as it is sturdy. With its elegantly curved back it would have looked as magnificent in the Gainsborough Old Hall centuries ago as it would in your office today. Shown here in Antique Brown The standard configuration for this item is: Bronze renaissance studs and mahogany stain. Comes with a buttoned back and plain seat unless stated otherwise.
