Warranty & maintenance
Technological wood carries a 5-year warranty covering functional and structural properties and an estimated useful life of more than 15 years. During the first 12–16 weeks the material undergoes an acclimatization process and may lighten slightly (10–15%) until it stabilizes; this is normal. Because the compound contains over 50% natural wood, base tone and grain may vary over time depending on solar orientation and climatic exposure. It is recommended to wash the slats a couple of times a year with water and neutral soap.
