A collaboration with Callidus Guild “Combed Plaster” draws from the humility of traditional plasterwork, celebrating imperfect simplicity. It pays homage to the beauty of age-old building methods, transforming functionality and practicality into a striking visual narrative. Each stroke echoes the mastery of ancient techniques, meticulously replicating and refining the nuances found in traditional plaster application, a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. In this collection, the artwork serves as a visual record of movement: the artists' gestures are captured by the playful, cartographic composition of hundreds of minute plaster grooves. "Combed Plaster" is complemented by a singular abstract floral panorama. In this wallcovering, 18th-century floral motifs, originally appearing in the finest hand-loomed silk, are scaled up and painstakingly recreated by hand in several painted iterations.
