Axis is a flexible, miniaturised lighting system for showcases and exhibitions that delivers museum-quality accent lighting in very tight installation situations. It combines extremely small light heads with advanced LED modules, interchangeable optics and a wide range of mounting and accessory options to enable precise, flexible presentation of sensitive objects.

Special features

• ERCO quality of light: LEDs selected for high luminous flux, excellent colour rendering and consistent colour coordinates suitable for museum applications.
• Miniaturised luminaires: light heads with a diameter of approx. Ø25 mm that remain visually discreet in displays.
• Flexible mounting: install in showcase ceiling, sidewall or base; available as semi-recessed, stem (pole) or surface-mounted versions; pan-and-tilt adjustment included.
• Magnetic attachment: additional light heads attach magnetically to stems and surface-mounted units for fast, tool-free configuration.
• Interchangeable optics and accessories: ERCO Spherolit lenses (spot, flood, wide flood), attachable filters, snoots and honeycomb louvres to shape distributions and improve visual comfort.

Axis is a system of miniaturised recessed luminaires and magnetic light heads for stem or surface mounting, engineered to integrate with ERCO museum lighting solutions. The lighting technology ensures precise colour matching with larger ERCO families while offering comparable flexibility in very small installation envelopes. Axis can illuminate sensitive objects from above or below, in varied configurations, with exchangeable lenses and a broad set of accessories to optimise presentation and protection.

• Lens unit: rotatable 360°; polymer, black; collimating optical polymer lens; ERCO Spherolit lenses available as spot, flood or wide flood.
• LED module: high-power LED; available light colours: warm white 2700K or 3000K, neutral white 3500K or 4000K.
• Light head: black (RAL9005); polymer/metal, black coated; rotatable 360°; pivot range: 0–70° for semi-recessed, 0–135° for stem and surface-mounted versions; magnetic attachment to stem or mounting plate.
• Stem (stem luminaire): black (RAL9005) aluminium profile, matt coated; fastening nut polymer; height adjustable 64–306 mm.
• Mounting options: stem luminaire, mounting plate (surface-mounted), mounting frame for semi-recessed (1-, 2- or 4-fold frames ordered separately); frame material polymer, black (RAL9005).
• Connection cable: black, 2 x 0.35 mm², length 1.0 m.
• Control gear (ordered separately): On-board Dim or Casambi Bluetooth; On-board Dim includes rotary control on the control gear for brightness adjustment; DALI via gateway supported.
• Light source / typical lumen data (example values): 1 W light source, approx. 78 lm–141 lm depending on distribution and configuration (examples vary by stem/surface/semi-recessed/extension heads).
