Castor is an ERCO bollard luminaire range designed to visually connect paths and squares outdoors and to provide uniform, glare-controlled illumination for both pathways and open areas. The range offers two selectable light distributions (180° for path lighting, 360° radial for open areas) and three construction sizes to suit varied lighting tasks.

Product description
The Castor bollard luminaire uses an innovative optical system with a ring-shaped lens to achieve uniform illumination either aligned 180° to one side (path) or 360° all around (open areas). The lighting technology is optimised for floor-washlighting and glare control, permitting large spacing without compromising visual comfort. Anti-glare cone and concealed optics support good visual conditions while the ERCO light guiding ring shapes the emission precisely.

Variants / Individualisation

• High-power LEDs: 3000K with CRI 97; and 2700K, 3500K, 4000K with CRI 92.
• Housing: choice from 10,000 further colours via ERCO individual service (additional variants on request).

Structure / Components

• ERCO light guiding ring: made of optical polymer.
• ERCO LED-module: high-power LEDs available in warm white (3000K) or neutral white (4000K) and other specified CCT/CRI options.
• Anti-glare cone: corrosion-resistant cast aluminium with No-Rinse surface treatment; double powder-coated and black lacquered; glare-free above the light aperture.
• Upper cover: corrosion-resistant cast aluminium with No-Rinse surface treatment, Graphit m finish, double powder-coated.
• Bollard body: corrosion-resistant aluminium profile, Graphit m, double powder-coated, optimised surface to reduce dirt accumulation.
• Control gear: switchable or DALI dimmable.
• Base plate: for mounting on accessories; mounting accessories ordered separately.
