concrete grass square
Redes is a vibro-molded grid paver system in reinforced cast stone. It is available in several colours. The 10 cm high paver is laid on a 4-6 cm deep bed of sand with a previously compacted and levelled base underneath. Redes forms a grid that acts as a retainer for the fertile soil and the grass growing in its gaps.
The Redes paving system was originally designed by architect Alfredo Arribas for the construction and consolidation of embankments around the new Hermenegildo Zegna corporation head office in the Sant Quirze del Vallès municipality.
It is useful for preventing erosion in different situations: steep embankments, zones where heavy pedestrian traffic is envisaged, and parking areas with occasional vehicle transit. Additionally, Redes has a 60% hard surface : 40% grass ratio, ensuring stable pedestrian transit in every direction.
