To actively detect gas and control gas valves / alarms. The detector generates an alarm and cuts the gas supply OFF when an excessive concentration of explosive gases in the air is detected by sensors hooked up to the detector central unit. The unit may cooperate with up to two gas sensors. The detector may cooperate with a gas cut-off valve activated by an electrical pulse or with a valve electrically held up in the open position. May also control a fan.
