The built-in ceiling-mounted Ecoclima DCA dehumidifying air conditioner is an innovative complete air management system, the main features of which are: ability to dehumidify without the compressor of the refrigeration cycle; ability to control the room temperature by cooling, when necessary, the treated air, using approximately just 1 kW of sensible power; to renew stale room air by drawing fresh air from the outside and recovering about 75% of the heat in a cross-flow air-to-air heat exchanger. Dehumidification is achieved using chilled water as the dehumidification source, at a nominal input temperature of 11.5°C, and forced air circulation to enhance the condensation capacity. The result is a dew point about 1.5°C higher than the temperature of the input fluid and numerous advantages in terms of energy savings and comfort in comparison with traditional dehumidifiers.
