Description

RECYCLE® filtering block and filtering slab is made of a concrete mixture characterized by a percentage of voids that varies between 15% and 20%. It is made of recovered porphyry aggregates, with a filtering capacity of 50 liters per second / m2. This filtering outdoor flooring offer colors of a natural stone, is sustainable and durable. It also has excellent wear resistance and a low degree of water absorption inside. At the time of contact with the surface, the water is completely absorbed, avoiding surface runoff and thus assigning hydraulic management to the underlying draining layers and to the ground. Considering the excellent permeability and the good storage capacity, RECYCLE® slabs and filtering blocks can be laid perfectly horizontal because they do not need any slope for the convoy of rainwater to the tanks. In addition to being an exceptional filtering floor, RECYCLE® is also a “cool pavement” that mitigates the effect of the heat island: in fact the voids inside the solid wood increase the surface of the shaded areas, favoring heat exchange. FEATURES AND DIMENSIONS RECYCLE® is available in three sizes: 1000x200x85mm for cycle and pedestrian surfaces, 1000x200x150mm for light drivable surfaces and 375x250x110 for heavy driveways.
