Designer biography
Luc Deflandre is a multidisciplinary decorator and designer born in Madagascar in 1964. He trained in fine arts and developed an early interest in painting, notably influenced by Pablo Picasso. After an internship at the children's studio of the Centre Georges Pompidou and several years at the Picasso Museum in Antibes, he worked in an architectural firm in Paris where he designed collections of objects and lighting. His practice spans drawing, bold pastels and material-focused graphic elements that inform his lighting designs.
