Overview
Wall lamp delivering a diffuse, immersive illumination through an ultra-lightweight, tear-resistant fibre membrane. LED sources are mounted on an iron support fixed to a round iron back plate. The lamp casing is magnetically attached to the metal frame using large magnetic buttons. The membrane is designed to be manually crumpled during installation to form its final shape.

Design concept
Maap by Erwan Bouroullec explores geometry, natural forms and lightness. Conceived as an expansive luminous surface, its paper-like membrane is intentionally crumpled on installation, juxtaposing precise metal geometry with an unpredictable, sculptural textile landscape. The result is a cloud-like, soft glow that uniformly diffuses light over a wide area.
