Overview
Allura decibel is a collection of durable acoustic LVT planks and tiles that combines premium aesthetics with high technical performance. The flooring reduces impact noise by 19 dB while offering the resistance and durability required for demanding commercial and public spaces. Allura decibel can be installed using a tackifier adhesive to facilitate later removal, reuse or recycling.

Optimized environmental option
Allura decibel b+ is an on-request version that enhances the environmental performance of the collection while retaining the same technical and aesthetic characteristics as the standard range.

Composition and circularity
The collection incorporates an innovative composition combining recycled materials, partially bio-based PVC and mineral resources. Allura decibel b+ contains 31% recycled materials (chalk, installation offcuts recovered via the Tournesol programme, and a plasticizer recycled from PET bottles). A share of fossil-based PVC is replaced by bio-based PVC to increase the bio-based content without compromising performance.

Mass balance approach and impact
To integrate the recycled plasticizer and bio-based PVC, Forbo applies the mass balance principle: conventional PVC and bio-based PVC flows are mixed in production, and the b+ version allows a higher share of bio-based content to be allocated to the specified floors.
