A realization of aluminium skylights above a sports hall, entrance and stairwell. The challenge of this project lies in working out a solution to combine opening parts for both smoke exhaust and ventilation with surface sun protection panels on the outside. A comprehensive study into control, security and technical detailing was absolutely necessary for the realization of this project.
Context
The skylights bring in natural light at essential meeting places in the school building. Lights brings space. The stylish glass awning on the playground attracts attention and forms an attractive gathering place. The sports hall gets a bright accent with a playful character through the original positioning of the skylights.
