MODERN CHURCH ARCHITECTURE

PIVOTING CHAPEL DOOR LIVONIA, USA
Modern Church architecture can be found within this incredible St. Mary Chapel. The interior chapel pivot door was designed by PLY+ and manufactured by Synecdoche Design Studio.
The modern chapel door is fitted with FritsJurgens System 3 pivot hinge system.

System 3 offers hold positions at every 90 degrees angle, ensuring that the door will always return to a perfect open or closed position.

A MODERN CHAPEL DOOR
The modern pivoting chapel door is fabricated from a steel frame with walnut slats and makes the perfect entry for this beautifully designed Chapel.
The walnut slats are also implemented in the ceiling, making the door form a unity with the interior of the Chapel.

MODERN CHURCH ARCHITECTURE
In this modern church architecture, the three main spiritual spaces are organized to be accessed from a single gathering space, the Narthex.
A future phase will include a healing garden and the west façade of the Chapel has been designed to establish a strong visual connection to this future garden.
Whatever the future may hold for the St. Mary Chapel, the stunning pivoting chapel door will be there to witness the developments of the chapel. FritsJurgens pivot hinge systems are tested to last at least 1 million opening and closing movements; the equivalent of 125 years of (daily) usage.

ELEGANT MOVEMENT OF THE CHAPEL PIVOT DOOR
The effortless movement of this large door is made possible by the System 3 pivot hinge system of FritsJurgens. With the touch of a finger, you set the pivot door in motion with a single fluid movement. A smooth functioning door with FritsJurgens inside.
