Originating in Pakistan and of low hardness, color: longitudinal striping from white to green going through yellow, vertical ochre striping, white and dark. Being a natural material, it can display differing veining from time to time, concentrations of color, clear and dark stains even with the actual slab. Some veining, because of its structure, can give a more opaque finish; given its fragility it can be subject to thinning, microfractures as well as requiring filled, resined or reconstructed veining.
