DescriptionGlass is often perceived as a polite, transparent and clean material. In this project the designer questions its architectural potential without compromising its intrinsic elegance. With Elege (which in Yoruba means fragile/delicate), the inspiration comes from rhythm and repetition: by overlapping individual glass panels the piece creates visual weight instead of relying on solid mass, and builds volume from a material typically seen as fragile. The design treats glass as a structural core rather than a surface.
About ElegeConsole made from 12 mm extra-clear tempered glass panels, hand-faded with a gradient from black to clear. Base plate painted aluminium color.
