Description

“For me, design is the way to understand the place where beauty and use occur, without doubts or fissures”. Mario Ruiz FLAT is the collection of outdoor furniture designed by Mario Ruiz over 10 years ago, and over time it has become a classic at GANDIABLASCO, elegant and versatile. It is composed of a complete family of furniture that can be enjoyed by simply sitting down and having a conversation outdoors with friends, a dinner under the moonlight, in the lounge area of a hotel… The FLAT counter-height stool with backrest the collection. It is a designer stool that measures 34 cm x 41 cm x 77 cm, manufactured using solid aluminium bars and profiles welded by hand through to semi-industrial processes. The seat and back are made of a single solid piece of 100% recyclable polyethylene, resistant to outdoor elements and chemical products. This outdoor stool, works by itself but is specially designed to accompany other FLAT bar tables and create the right environment to enjoy those moments of pleasure outdoors. The FLAT counter-height stool with backrest is an exclusive design by Mario Ruiz for GANDIABLASCO. “Inspiration is within reach of our senses, in the street, when we travel, in the objects that surround us. In my opinion, being a designer means keeping your senses alert to everything. My way of working and understanding design is to create objects that work better and are, above all, honest. My interest in functionality is a consequence of being educated in the eighties. I think that, for some time now, everything has become more superficial and flashy: negative glamour.”
