The new LIBRA canopy is an elegant and discrete productthanks to the invisible fixing to be carried out in the lowerpart of the structure through the use of flat supportsand screws. Unlike classic canopies, it does not requiretie rods and has in fact a much more minimal designsuitable for contemporary architecture. The LIBRA canopyhas been designed to withstand various static stressesdue to snow load.
Unlike most canopies on the market, LIBRA alsosuccessfully passed the wind shear stress test: windmovements were assessed from underneath the glassoverhang as well, providing satisfactory results.Numerous physical tests have been performed usingdistributed loads that simulate a snow load up to250 kg/sqm for more than 40 consecutive testing days. The system has been tested with a load-bearingsubstructure made of reinforced concrete, load-bearingmasonry or metal beams.
