Whenever the glass and door fittings have to merge into a single unit, the new Dorma Arcos line achieves this. The Dorma Arcos range, created with gentle curved lines, won the Zentrum NRW ‘Red Dot design award’ for the German manufacturer in 2002, as well as the iF 2002 award, awarded by ‘International Forum Design’ in Hanover. The Dorma STUDIO ARCOS basic hardware consists of two hinges and a lock. Various handle models can be added to this set and the entire assembly can be fitted with a lock and key or keyless hub. For toilet doors, there is a special locking system with a key on the inside of the door and with specific green / red signage on the outside. The hinges secure the EVODUR ESG or EVOLAM T tempered safety glass onto the aluminium frame, the door sealing on the rubber seal. This type of fitting allows for the use of thick clear, ultra-clear (low iron) or coloured EVODUR ESG glass up to 8mm thick. If special conditions are required regarding lamination, or if full visual partitioning of the two rooms is desired, the fitting also allows for 4.4.2 configured EVOLAM K glass and EVOKERAM enamel variants in the RAL pallette are also an option. STUDIO Arcos provides room for ideas and emphasizes features. Regardless of the surface finish: The locks impresses with its special arched shape.
